Green Paws Team
Full bios coming soon! How We StartedGreen Paw Studios was formed in Sterling Peake's heart and mind in January of 2006 when she entered the annual Business Plan Competition at Seattle University. This was the fifth business plan she had written and competed with and having worked for SeattleDogs for a year, she was inspired to bring modern dog training to the world. Since then, the company has evolved into her lifelong dream. Out of 40 teams who competed, Green Paws won the Grand Prize of $10,000 and opened their doors in June of 2006. Green Paw Studios boasts their home in the city of Seattle where intelligent people appreciate and value the education and passion we have to offer our clients. We believe that dogs come first and are dedicated to improving their quality of life. We will teach people how to communicate with their pets by making effective training easy and accessible to everyone. Training PhilosophyAt Green Paws we follow and exceed the American Humane Association's guidelines for humane training. We believe in positive reinforcement and training that is based on the science-proven methods of animal learning theory and canine behavior. Sterling has extensive training from the San Francisco SPCA Dog Training Academy which is knows as the "Harvard for dog trainers." This program prepares graduates not only to train dogs and handle behavior problems but also how to empower people so they can feel confident to continue training even after our work is done. Our VisionOur vision is to create a national business model that includes training, boarding, daycare, seminars, grooming and retail that can be the number one resource for dogs and training education. Please contact us if you're interested in being part of this long-term plan by investing in or working for Green Paw Studios. Green Paws Founder
